Tips to reach your 2024 blog goals

Get organized to achieve your blogging goals
Start your day with a tidy work space. This is such a simple tip that makes a big impact.
It’s one of the best ways to start your day with a clear head and feel more focused. It’s such a small, quick thing that can make a big impact on productivity.
I find just taking a few minutes to clear away loose papers, empty coffee mugs, etc. makes a massive difference in my mindset. A cluttered desk equals a cluttered mind!
I love this rose gold desk organizer. And a flat desk calendar is a must for me too.
Write 3 To Do lists to achieve your daily blog goals
Is there anything more satisfying than crossing things off your long to-do list?
I actually keep THREE lists. This may seem like a lot, but there’s a method to my madness. I keep a running list of personal, household tasks that need to be done, and a list of work-related items that need tackling.
Then each day I look at both lists and make a “must-do that day” to-do list. This keeps my busy mom/entrepreneur brain focused on the things that matter in the moment. If I get everything done, then I can refer to the other lists and pick something else.
This funny list offers a similar solution 🙂 I really should get myself one so it’s all organized on one piece of paper!
Pre-Planning Blog Tasks Digitally
There are so many organizing tools out there that are really effective. Trello, Monday, and Asana to name a few.
I personally have not used Monday but have set up Asana for one of my VA clients. I also use and love Trello for another client.
These tools are great if you’re working with others or just need to keep your thoughts and plans organized and laid out in a way that provides a straightforward plan and decreases your overwhelm.
Check out this great video walkthrough of Asana. This one is specifically if you are working with a team, but I think you’ll see how beneficial it could be for completing solo blogging tasks as well:
Write it Down
If you’re more of a write-it-down type of person, I bought this printable blog planner from Angela at straycurls.com and I love it!
It’s very well thought out and her illustrations make it so fun. It’s hard to be stressed when these cute images are so happy and enjoyable.
Angela really thought of everything and included helpful pages like blog post plans, post checklists, ideal customer profiles, and more. The best part is it’s very affordable!
Organize your passwords
How many usernames and passwords do you have? Too many to count, right?
Especially in the blogging world! I made a super simple solution years ago and created this FREE Printable Password Organizer (feel free to snag it for yourself).
It was a true game-changer for me.
I eventually ended up upgrading to an actual Password Book because I just needed more space for all the logins needed for life in general, plus blogging.
Yes, I of course realize there are digital tools for password keeping. And they claim to be safe. For some reason, it feels safer to me to have this info live outside of an online platform.
Organize your affiliate links
Whether you choose to do it on a Google Doc, or make an in depth Excel file, having all our affiliate links in one spot is a must do!
It’s embarrassing how long it took me to do this. But when I did it saved me so much time and hassle!
I love the Pretty Links plugin. This way if a link needs to be updated, you can just change it in one convenient place.
Batch create content
Plan out and create all your social media posts. Maybe one day you create your Instagram graphics, and another day design your Pinterest pins for the month.
The same can be said for your email newsletters and blog posts.

Schedule that content
Save yourself from having to post things each and every day! Spend one day scheduling everything to various platforms so you can focus on actually creating posts and products.
Try SocialBee, Tailwind, or Meta Business Suite.
I use SocialBee to post in my Facebook Group every day at the same time. Once I set the schedule it takes care of the rest! It’s a beautiful thing.
You can try SocialBee for free HERE.
And did you know you can schedule Pinterest pins 1 month in advance for free using the native scheduler?

Get educated
I’m starting to sound like a broken record here. But if you’re a new reader I’m saying it again.
You need to invest in yourself to see the success you crave.
Blogging can be a full time business if you approach it with a business mindset. And in order for a business to succeed, some investments need to be made.
You can’t expect to make a career for yourself without educating yourself on all the ins and outs of that topic.
And blogging is complicated. The longer you wing it and hope for the best, the longer it will take for you to truly achieve your blogging goals.

Achieve your blogging goals by getting out of your comfort zone
Usually, the thing you’re avoiding doing is the thing that’s going to make the biggest difference.
Have you been putting off showing your face in Reels or YouTube videos? Maybe you’ve been talking about creating a digital product forever but just can’t pull the trigger?
Set some time aside to research what these goals will really take, create a plan, and go for it!
I can’t tell you how often I see other bloggers in Facebook groups saying they faced their fears and it’s really paid off.
Break your goal down into actionable steps and go from there.
