Gift Guide for Bloggers
Looking for affordable gift ideas for a blogger friend or family member? Look no further!
You may not understand what we do, but I’m hoping this list gives you a little insight into our day to day life. And how these gift suggestions can help out your beloved blogger.
This post contains affiliate links. This means if you make a purchase through one of these links, I may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. All opinions are my own. Read my full disclosure here.
Do you have little personal items that you just can’t do your job without? Of course you do! Well, I have a few things that I use to make my life as a blogger easier. If I find these things helpful, chances are they’ll put a smile on your loved one’s face too.
Most gift guides are pushing the big-ticket items, like laptops, cameras, microphones, etc. Not here! This list of gift ideas is extremely affordable, practical, and realistic. Let’s get started!
Blue Light Blocking Glasses
Blue light what?? Blue light blocking glasses! Let me explain.
We are surrounded by screens constantly. Computers, tablets, smartphones, etc. Staring at screens all day is not good for your eyes!
I had heard really great things about Blue Light Blocking Glasses from other bloggers. I was finding myself complaining about headaches more and more often. And my eyes always felt so tired.
I received the glasses as a Christmas gift last year and was excited to try them out.
The verdict: I have noticed my eyes are much less tired when I get done on the computer. My headaches have decreased too. I think part of that is because I don’t scowl at the screen as much. Who else looks angry when they concentrate!? This may sound funny, but I can feel the glasses more if I’m scowling at my screen. And it makes me realize I’m rocking some serious “angry resting face”.
I have these ones: Blue Light Blocking Glasses
Not bad style-wise either. I think they’re pretty cute.
Maybe a tad big for my small face. But no one sees me working other than my family anyway. Not horrible, right?
When they’re held up to the computer screen you can see they have a slight yellow tint. That tint blocks the blue light. This, in turn, eases the strain on our eyes.
They are really affordable and you can see a noticeable difference when you take them off.Â
Yeti Tumbler
I’ll admit, I was really resistant to get on the “Yeti bandwagon”. I’m not big on spending money on a fancy brand name just because it’s trendy. I am a die-hard thrifty shopper. I just couldn’t see spending the money on a tumbler just because of the name on the side.
My husband is the opposite. He loves gadgets, tools, and the “latest thing”. He was really excited when he brought us each home a tumbler that he’d got on sale. I did my usual, eye roll, and “that’s such an unnecessary expense” comment. But I tried it out and I have to admit it…I was really impressed.
This thing keeps my coffee HOT! And not for a little while. HOURS. It’s kind of insane. The same goes for keeping drinks cold. The Yeti will keep ice in it for the whole day!
I often blog with a small child running around me. I get interrupted a whole heck of a lot. I can’t tell you how many cups of cold coffee I’ve heated up in the microwave. I don’t do that anymore! Mom bloggers everywhere, rejoice!
Another thing I love about it. It has a lid. Guess why I have the laptop I do? I spilled a large and very full cup of water all over the keyboard of my last laptop. A bill to recover the contents of my hard drive and a new computer later, I have a new appreciation for lids.
This is the one I have: YETI Rambler 20 oz TumblerÂ
There are lots of other styles, price points and colours. I wouldn’t mind getting another one but in the mug style. I like the idea of it having a handle and being more “coffee-cup-like”. Â
Mass storage device
With the latest algorithm change, our beloved Pinterest is wanting fresh pins every day from content creators. I aim for at least 3 new pins a day. That’s a minimum of 21 new pin designs every week. That’s a lot of pins! And they add up quickly on your hard drive.
Not to mention the many stock photos you download to use on those pins. All those files can really slow down a computer. I’ve started storing everything on an external, mass storage device.
It can hold a silly amount of data. So I also use it to back up my computer, iPhone, personal photos, and any downloads or ebooks I buy from other bloggers.
Mine is a Seagate, like the one pictured. But it’s older and much smaller, storage wise. I am nowhere close to filling it. This one is 2TB (FYI, that’s huge). I also paid way more for much smaller storage capacity. So this one is a great buy. And it works for a Mac or a PC.Â
Pretty Desk Accessories
When your workspace feels put together you’ll feel like a total pro! You can buy all the fun office supplies separately or simplify things with something like this Desk Accessory Kit or this pretty organizer.
I love the modern, rose gold look. If you’re like me and don’t have a fancy, modern office, this can make your desk seem a little more high end without the big price tag.
These might actually go on MY Christmas list 😉
Stock Photo Subscription
Any blogger would be thrilled to receive a membership to a stock photo site. It’s so important to use original, high-quality images in blog posts and on Pinterest pins. But not everyone can afford a membership site right away. Especially as a beginner blogger. Here are a few great options to check out:
• Pixistock
• Ivory Mix
• Deposit Photos
• Haute Stock
Their photos are all gorgeous, professional, and very high quality. The membership packages are very reasonably priced and offer thousands (yes, thousands) of beautiful, legal to use stock photos.
I do however recommend you check with the blogger to make sure they aren’t already a member of the stock photo provider you choose. It would be a total waste if they got a double membership!
Hardcover Notebook
A pretty hardcover notebook may seem like a slightly simple, mundane item. But bloggers can never have too many places to jot down blog post ideas, to-do lists, and keep notes.
I personally like this style, with the rings on the side so the notebook can lay flat when it’s open.
This is a great idea when you’re looking to buy a small, affordable gift that doesn’t break the bank, but shows you made the effort.
Blogging Education
This one is a little tricky simply because you’d likely have to ask the person you’re buying for what course they are dying to try.
But if that’s how you roll, I am confident when I say, every blogger/entrepreneur out there has a course they want to take or an eBook they want to read, but don’t have the money to invest in.
Also, blogging education is one of the best gifts you can give. It’s an investment in the growth of their business. It will not only be helpful and greatly appreciated, but it will also show your friend that you believe in them. And that means a lot!
Here are some of my favourites. You could ask your friend what they’re currently working on or struggling with and suggest one of these options:Â

Password Book
I think this little Password Book is brilliant! I can’t even count how many usernames and passwords I have for various blogging platforms, social media accounts, memberships, affiliate programs, etc. It’s actually really overwhelming if I think too hard about it.
I even created my own Printable Password Organizer because I was getting so sick of forgetting and having to reset passwords. This password book is a great solution!Â
Pinterest Pin Templates
If you aren’t a blogger yourself, you likely aren’t aware that Pinterest is a huge traffic driver for bloggers and entrepreneurs. The only problem is, we have to keep making new pins to stay relevant.
Pin design can be time-consuming and it’s not always everyone’s strong suit. Many bloggers are turning to templates to quickly and easily create new pins for their posts and products.
Personally, I have a pin template subscription (yes, that’s a thing). I get 10 brand new Pinterest pin templates delivered to my inbox every month. And I love it!
Any blogger would love to receive templates as a gift because you are literally giving them back some of their valuable time.
But, if you’re looking for more of a one time purchase you can snag my collection of 25 pin templates for only $10! To give them as a gift you can simply download them and share the link with your loved one.
You can check them out HERE.
Expanding File Organizer
This is something I should probably buy myself for Christmas! I’m not the best bookkeeper. Any blogger or entrepreneur would find this pretty, expanding file organizer handy.
Not everyone has the luxury of a home office or a file cabinet. Until that day comes, something like this would make it easy and affordable to store receipts, legal documents, tax-related papers, etc.
*List updated* I know I said this list was 10 items. But I had to update it to include one more. Because it’s seriously changed my world.
Wireless Ergonomic Mouse
I’ve been at this blogging thing for years. But in addition to that, I recently started my own virtual assistant business. I’m now on my phone or computer pretty much all day, every day. Because of this, I developed carpal tunnel.
I’m talking about serious pain in my wrists and hands, mostly my right. After doing some research I found this strange-looking, ergonomic mouse.
It was affordable enough and the reviews were great so I hit the purchase button and hoped it would work.
I’m so pleasantly surprised by just how much it helped! I’m talking, a noticeable difference within a few days of using it.
It forces you to hold your hand and wrist at a more natural angle. The buttons and wheel are easier to use and the result is a huge reduction in hand and wrist pain.
This one is an awesome gift option for anyone who uses their mouse all day. If you know someone with a desk job who’s suffered from carpal tunnel or other types of wrist pain, this could be a really effective solution for them.
In Conclusion
I hope this list of gift ideas for bloggers and entrepreneurs has given you some helpful suggestions. Some people would love to get physical things as gifts. Others could find memberships and downloads more useful to their business growth.
Whatever you choose, any of these gift ideas would assure any blogger or aspiring entrepreneur you care and you believe in what they’re working toward. I feel confident these gifts would be greatly appreciated this gift-giving season.Â
