Get Pinterest Pin Templates on a Budget
Who here is feeling burnt out from constantly designing new Pinterest pins? I get it. It’s a lot to keep up with. My secret weapon has been using pin templates every day to speed up my pin creation. And today I’m going to hook you up with some eye-catching, affordable Pinterest pin templates to make your life easier!
This post contains affiliate links. This means if you make a purchase through one of these links, I may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. All opinions are my own. Read my full disclosure here.
First off, let’s just clarify one thing. It might be a no-brainer to many of you but I’m still seeing bloggers repinning their old pins! This is a big no-no!
Pinterest wants NEW pins. And lots of them. Gone are the days of repinning the same pin to various boards. (Although, that could change. Who knows what Pinterest will throw at us next!)
After a recent algorithm change, Pinterest wants us content creators pinning fewer repins (copies of old, successful pins) and more fresh, unique pins. More new content as well.
Pinterest has come right out and said:
“Pinterest encourages creators to publish new, original content on a regular basis as the best way to build an audience on Pinterest. We encourage new publishing over Saving others’ or your own already pinned content.
Pinners come to our platform to find new ideas and as we continue to update our service, we’ll prioritize new, original content published by creators over Saves.”
In other words, Pinterest is giving more exposure to new pins than repins and third-party pins.
I know. Talk about time-consuming.
Pin Design Shouldn’t Be So Hard
To maintain my Pinterest traffic, I’m currently putting out 3-6 new pins every day.
Side note: how many pins YOU need to put out a day will be different for every account. There is no magic number. You’ll need to experiment to see what works for you.
I’m hearing a lot of bloggers are fed up and abandoning Pinterest because they can’t keep up with the constant need to churn out new pins.
Personally, Pinterest is my biggest traffic source so you won’t see me giving up on it!
It doesn’t have to be AS time-consuming as you may think! Templates have literally saved me HOURS of pin design time.
Simply open a template, change the title and photo, and you’re good to go. Next, change the photo again, (like I’ve done below), use different coloured text if desired and you’ve got yourself a brand new pin!
But What About Branding?
I’ve been asked a lot how to stick with your brand fonts/colours without completely changing and therefore eliminating the point of using pre-designed templates, to begin with!
Please don’t stress too much about branding your pins.
I used to struggle to stick to my usual fonts and colours. This often led to huge frustration trying to find stock photos that complimented my branding.
Or trying to make my fonts work for certain words in my post title. I would find myself regretting some of the choices I made when I started my blog.
Since I started using templates, I decided to let go of some of my old branding. I figured it was worth experimenting with.
It was scary at first but I can’t tell you how FREEING it was and has continued to be!
And guess what? My Pinterest traffic has gone up. My email list has grown. My followers have increased.
In short, nothing bad happened.
Don’t let branding hold you back from trying templates. You can also change the template colours to match your branding.
You can check out my Pinterest account HERE to see all the various fonts, colours, sizes I use on my pins, free from branding. Again, my traffic has gone UP since I stopped branding my pins.
