What IS Pinteresting Strategies?

Pinteresting Strategies is a wildly popular course that teaches Pinterest expert, Carly Campbell’s, manual pinning method. It’s likely that you’ve heard mention of it before.

Carly is very well known in the blogging world and her strategy is used by many to drive traffic from Pinterest. If you’ve been thinking of purchasing the course or are simply looking to learn just how the Pinterest algorithm works, I’m going to share my experience and Pinteresting Strategies review.

Who Is Carly Campbell?

Firstly, who is Carly Campbell? She’s a Pinterest expert and blogger at MommyOnPurpose.com. She’s wildly successful, real, honest, and hilarious.

She currently has a whopping 3.7 MILLION Pinterest Viewers a month and over 46,000 followers. Basically, she knows her stuff.

You can get a glimpse into Carly’s expertise by becoming a member of her free Facebook group: Blogging Like We Mean It.

Carly has proven herself as a true expert when it comes to using Pinterest marketing to drive huge amounts of blog traffic. Her strategies are used by many well known, professional bloggers who all feel the same way about this course. It works!

What Can YOU Expect From Pinteresting Strategies 2.0

The course covers a LOT of Pinterest information! It is made up of a combination of text, images, and videos.

I found the videos really helpful. When you can follow along, screen by screen, and hear clear instructions, there’s less chance of misunderstanding the info.

Aside from the actual pinning strategy, Carly dives deep into how the Pinterest algorithm works.

Hint: Pinterest is actually a visual search engine. And needs to be treated like one to see results.

She covers how to do keyword research, how to optimize your account, bio, pins and boards, using Google Analytics for Pinterest, how to create eye catching pins that get clicked, and so much more.

Who Is This Pinterest Course For?

Because the course dives so deep into understanding how Pinterest works I really believe this course is for anyone using Pinterest for marketing their blog, website, or product.

Carly teaches her proven strategies based on how the average Pinterest user is utilizing the platform.

Truly understanding how the algorithm works is beneficial to beginner bloggers who are brand new to Pinterest marketing, as well as seasoned bloggers who are just not seeing the results from Pinterest they’ve been striving for.

Or even just advanced bloggers who DO see decent Pinterest traffic, but want to really do everything they can to take advantage of it.

Of course, some niches do better than others on the platform. But really, Pinterest is a place for everyone. Therefore, so is Pinteresting Strategies!

My Personal Experience with Pinteresting Strategies

The free Pinterest methods were not working for me.

I’d been pinning strategically for a very long time. I would keep track of all my pins, writing them down in a binder, which ones were going to what boards and when, etc.

It was painfully time-consuming.

For all my efforts, day in and day out, I just wasn’t seeing a huge jump in my traffic from Pinterest.

I’d been eyeing Carly’s course for a while (because I kept hearing how amazing it was) but was hesitant to spend the money.

I assumed I could just keep reading blog posts, download free resources, and eventually find something new that would work for me.

Not that it’s a large investment. Now that I’ve bought it and started using the method, I realize it’s actually quite underpriced.

Tailwind for Instagram

I was so frustrated with how much time I was putting into pinning without gaining much traction. It left little time to actually write blog posts!

My impressions were pitiful. Repins and clicks were almost non-existent.

My content was decent. I got great feedback about it. And although my pins weren’t incredible at first, they drastically improved.

I knew they were good pins because I was getting complimented regularly by other bloggers on my designs.

But still, next to no traffic.

Side Note: My pin designs have greatly improved thanks to Carly’s Pinterest Pin Templates. This is a monthly subscription that gets you new pin templates delivered right to your inbox every month. They are a huge time saver! Especially now that we know Pinterest wants new pins every day! It’s called Pinteresting Pins on Autopilot.

You can even test drive the pin templates for free HERE.

But the best part about the subscription, by far, is the private Facebook coaching group that comes with it.

Carly shares insider info in this group that she doesn’t share anywhere else. Plus free bonus products, live expert training sessions each month, challenges, and more.

She’s incredibly engaged in the group and offers lots of live videos where you can ask questions in real-time. It’s beyond valuable!

Learning to Invest in my Blogging Education

Education is important. And good education is never free.

If I wanted to start a new career I’d be expected to go to school and pay for that education.

So why should blogging be any different? I finally admitted that I was getting what I paid for…ie. nothing!

So I bought the course. And basically, I was blown away.

I thought I was an experienced pinner. I thought I knew how Pinterest worked. I was wrong. It was shocking how much I didn’t know.

I can’t tell you how many “A-HA!!” moments I had while reading and watching the videos.

Pinteresting Strategies changed the way I pinned. I stopped keeping track of every pin I pinned. I stopped using that time-consuming binder. (Now the only time I open it is to use my Password Organizer).

My Results From Pinteresting Strategies

I saw results within 36 hours. I noticed a big change in my number of repins and clicks. When I checked my Google Analytics I was ecstatic to see this:

Screen shot of jump in website traffic from pinterest

As you can clearly see, my traffic had plateaued. It was staying pretty consistent. Consistently pitiful. That spike in traffic occurred less than 2 days after I started implementing Carly’s manual pinning methods.

Check out my Pinterest analytics below. I just love seeing all those green, UP arrows!Pinterest account growth analytics

P.S. I’m officially over my hesitation in paying for blogging education. Every time I do, I learn something really valuable.

Know this: There is a reason successful bloggers charge for their methods!

Pinteresting Strategies Updates – Bonus!

Carly updates the course as needed as well. So as Pinterest’s algorithm changes (and let’s face it, it never stops changing) the course gets updated.

So you never have to worry about it becoming irrelevant.

The latest update includes a really cool new strategy for more traffic from Pinterest. I’ve been trying it out over the last few days.

Below is a screenshot of my Realtime traffic BEFORE trying the new, advanced pinning strategy. The second is the view AFTER.

Realtime view of blog traffic from Pinterest

Realtime view of increased blog traffic from Pinterest

Now obviously, having 1 user on my site isn’t anything to get excited about. Except, it kind of is.

Simply because it was instant. Please note the time in the bottom right. The “before” was taken at 9:45 PM. The “after” at 9:46 PM.

Instant results.

There was no one on my site.

Then I used the new advanced strategy Carly just added to the course. I pinned a pin using said strategy.

Within seconds, someone had seen that pin and clicked through to my site.

Instant traffic and instant proof that this strategy works!

How Much Does Pinteresting Strategies Cost?

Currently, the price of the course is $97. I think this is a very fair price and well worth the investment.

Actually, it’s really underpriced for all the actionable tips and information you get. Especially since it gets updated as Pinterest changes.

AND you can use my coupon code PINNING5 and get an additional $5 off!

I would not be surprised to see the price increase over time as Carly keeps adding valuable advice to it.

Because obviously, the longer SHE uses the platform, the more her knowledge and experience increases. As she adds that knowledge, the value of the course keeps going up.

Final Thoughts on Pinteresting Strategies

I’ll make this a no-brainer for you. By owning this course and by being in Carly’s Facebook group you are basically getting your own personal Pinterest coach.

That’s truly how I feel about being part of Carly’s community.

She is (in her own words) obsessed with Pinterest. The course always stays relevant to the constant Pinterest changes, and Carly is very interactive with the members of her group.

Her mailing list is also incredibly valuable. I’m always genuinely excited to read her emails.

Pinteresting Strategies is by far the best course I’ve invested in for my blog growth.

I’m kicking myself for all the time I wasted because I was being stubborn and cheap. I lost countless hours, (more like days if I add it all up) all for the price of a tank of gas!

SO, if you’ve been trying and trying to gain traffic from Pinterest to no avail, I urge you to grab this course while it’s still the price it is.

You will see an increase in your traffic from Pinterest!

It truly is worth every penny and fully understandable why it’s one of the most popular courses in the blogging community.

2023 Update: Introducing Pinteresting Strategies 2.0!

Just announced: Carly is retiring the original Pinteresting Strategies!

But don’t worry. It still exists. Pinteresting Strategies is simply no longer available as a stand-alone course.

It’s been rolled into the Pinteresting Strategies 2.0 Training Bundle!

Because Pinterest has changed so much over the years, Carly wants everyone purchasing the main course to have access to ALL of her more recent trainings. Because ALL the information is crucial for success and compliments what is taught in the course.

So, moving forward, everything is now included in one big bundle of amazing Pinterest trainings!

Pinteresting Strategies 2.0 includes:

• The full Pinteresting Strategies Course
• Pinterest Pin Title Traffic Hacks eBook
• Pin Design Rules to Break eBook
• Pinterest Niche Site Deep Dive 2021 training
• Bonus Content from Pinteresting Pins Mastermind group (Do You Get Long Clicks? video training
• 15 Pinterest Pin Templates

Obviously, this is WAY more bang for your buck. I have personally used all of these trainings and they are gold!

Why the added resources?

The more Carly dives into how Pinterest is currently working, the more she has to share. These additional trainings help support the original course info so it remains relevant to today’s best Pinterest practices.

Additional Tip

If you do purchase the course, pleeeease, don’t skip over anything. I actually went through the course twice to make sure I really “got it”. While watching the videos the second time, I realized I had somehow skipped watching an entire video.

Let’s face it, I was likely interrupted by my daughter.

The video that I missed covered what is, in my opinion, the most valuable part of the course. Urgh! I can’t believe I almost didn’t get the crazy cool tips in that one video.

So take your time, take notes because there are SO many great tips, it’s hard to remember them all once you are amped up and ready to implement them.

Don’t skip through anything because you think you already know what’s up.

I hope this Pinteresting Strategies 2.0 review was helpful. Until next time, Happy pinning!

Oh how I loved this course! I am not kidding – I have gone through it 5 times. I love that she updates it for current best practices and that she’s accessible to ask questions if you’re a pin template member. That membership has saved me hours in pin design and headaches in having no one to ask strategy questions to. Great review and I couldn’t agree more!

I know! The pin template membership makes you feel like you’ve really got the inside scoop on what’s happening with Pinterest right now. It’s invaluable. Between that and Pinteresting Strategies I feel like I’ve got a bit of a leg up 😉
