How to Explode Your Pinterest Traffic
Are you making yourself crazy trying to drive traffic from Pinterest? Ha! Who isn’t??
Well, I’ve found an incredible resource I wanted to share with you. It’s not new. It’s actually pretty famous in the Pinterest marketing world. But just in case you haven’t heard of it yet, I wanted to let you in on the secret. The secret to getting massive traffic from Pinterest.
This post contains affiliate links. This means if you make a purchase through one of these links, I may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. All opinions are my own. Read my full disclosure here.
What is that Pinterest Secret?
I won’t keep you in suspense. It’s called Pinteresting Strategies, by Carly Campbell. And it has changed my world! This course completely changed my Pinterest strategy. And it just keeps getting better.
You can see below my number 1 traffic source is now Pinterest, thanks to this strategy.
Update as of May 2023! Pinteresting Strategies 2.0 has just been updated for 2023 and is currently (until July 17th) on sale using coupon code: SUMMER25 to save 25%
Now, who exactly IS Carly Campbell? She’s a Pinterest whiz and blogger at MommyOnPurpose.com. She’s wildly successful, real, honest, and hilarious. She has a whopping 6.3 MILLION Pinterest Viewers a month. Basically, she knows her stuff.
The Free Pinterest Methods Weren’t Working For Me
Now I’d been pinning strategically for a looooong time. Tracking my pins, writing them down in a binder, which ones were going to what boards and when, etc.
It took so much time and effort.
For all that effort, day in and day out, I just wasn’t seeing results.
I’d heard so many good things about Carly’s course but didn’t want to spend the money.
I figured I could just keep reading free blog posts and find something new that would work for me. It’s not even a huge investment. I’m just stubborn.
Now that I’ve bought it and started using the strategy, I realize it’s actually really underpriced.
I was so frustrated with how much time I was putting into pinning without gaining much traffic. It left little time to create new content!
My impressions were just sad. Repins and clicks were almost non-existent.
My content was decent. And my pins were attractive. But still, next to no traffic.
Side Note: My pin designs have greatly improved thanks to Carly’s newly offered Pinterest Pin Templates. This is a monthly subscription that gets you new pin templates delivered right to your inbox every month.
They are a huge time saver! Especially now that we know Pinterest wants new pins every day! It’s called Pinteresting Pins on Autopilot. (Recently updated to Beyond Pinterest Mastermind as it offers SO much more than just Pin Templates now.)
(You can actually test drive the pin templates for free HERE.)
But the best part about the subscription, by far, is the private Facebook coaching group that comes with it.
Carly shares insider info in this group that she doesn’t share anywhere else. She’s incredibly engaged in the group and offers lots of live videos where you can ask questions in real-time. It’s beyond valuable!
Learning to Invest in my Blogging Education
Education is important. And it’s rarely free. If I wanted to start a new career I’d be expected to go to school and pay for that education.
So why should blogging be any different? I finally admitted that I was getting what I paid for…ie. nothing!
So I bought the course.
I thought I was an experienced pinner who knew how Pinterest worked. I was wrong. It was shocking how much I didn’t know.
I can’t tell you how many “A-HA!!” moments I had while reading and watching the videos.
Pinteresting Strategies changed the way I pinned. I stopped keeping track of every pin I pinned. I stopped using that time-consuming binder. (Now the only time I open it is to use my Password Organizer).
I saw results within 36 hours.
I noticed a big change in my number of repins and clicks. When I checked my Google Analytics I was ecstatic to see this:
As you can clearly see, my traffic had plateaued. It was staying pretty consistent. Consistently bad.
That spike in traffic occurred less than 2 days after I started implementing Carly’s manual pinning methods.
P.S. I’m officially over my hesitation of paying for blogging education. Every time I do, I learn something really valuable. There is a reason successful bloggers charge for their methods!
Check out my results/Pinterest Analytics these days (2023):
Bonus!
Carly updates the course as needed as well. So as Pinterest’s algorithm changes (which it does constantly) the course gets updated. So you never have to worry about it becoming irrelevant.
The latest update includes a really cool new strategy for more traffic from Pinterest. I’ve been trying it out over the last few days.
Below is a screenshot of my Realtime traffic BEFORE trying the new, advanced pinning strategy. The second is the view AFTER.
Now obviously, having 1 user on my site isn’t anything to get excited about. Except, it kind of is.
Simply because it was instant. Please note the time in the bottom right. The “before” was taken at 9:45 PM. The “after” at 9:46 PM. Instant results.
There was no one on my site. Then I used the new advanced strategy Carly just added to the course. I pinned a pin using said strategy. And within seconds, someone had seen that pin and clicked through to my site.
Instant traffic and instant proof that this method works!
P.S. More often than not, it’s way more than just 1 person instantly on site.
More Updates
There are more updates coming. If you are a member of Carly’s Facebook group (Blogging Like We Mean It) you would have had access to her live videos discussing these updates. As well as her thoughts on the panic that ensued after Tailwind’s announcement of updated best practices this week.
The videos with Carly’s insights were free at the time. But she realizes how valuable the info is and will be taking it down soon to be added to Pinteresting Strategies.
Also, the price WILL be going up once these updates are made. Because the value keeps going up, substantially. I encourage you to give it a try before the price increases.
Before July 17th, use code SUMMER25 to save 25%. After that, you can use discount code PINNING5 to get $5 off 🙂

Final Thoughts…
By owning this course and by being in Carly’s Facebook group you are basically getting your own personal Pinterest coach. That’s truly how I feel about being part of Carly’s community.
She is (in her own words) obsessed with Pinterest. The course always stays relevant to the constant Pinterest changes, and Carly is very interactive with the members of her group. Her mailing list is also incredibly valuable. I’m always genuinely excited to read her emails.
Pinteresting Strategies is by far the best course I’ve invested in for my blog growth. I’m kicking myself for all the time I wasted because I was being stubborn and cheap. I lost countless hours, (more like days if I add it all up) all for the price of a tank of gas!
SO, if you’ve been trying and trying to gain traffic from Pinterest to no avail, I urge you to grab this course while it’s still the price it is. You will see an increase in your traffic from Pinterest! It truly is worth every penny and more!
If you just can’t invest in the course right now, join the Facebook group Blogging Like We Mean It. It’s free and you’ll learn so much from the questions and answers posted there daily.

No problem, Ariel. If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan of anything Carly Campbell does. Thanks for the comment!
I’ve been looking for a Pintereat course to take to boost my blog traffic. So this was really helpful. Pinning now to sign up for the course later.
Awesome! I truly believe you will love Pinteresting Strategies! I’ve yet to hear a negative review of it.
Carly is amazing and totally a Pinterest whiz for sure. It’s an interesting concept to not keep track of your pins. I have all of them in an excel spreadsheet which is time-consuming. I want to look at this course more so thanks for the information!
There is the odd time I find myself wishing I knew the last time I pinned something was. But it doesn’t happen often. It’s definitely been worth it in the long run. Now I can focus my time on content and making new pins.
Oooh – I need to up my game. Thanks for this suggestion!
No problem, Daisy! I will never stop suggesting this Pinterest course. It’s great for beginners and advanced pinners 🙂
Great post! I am almost ready to take Carly’s course. I’ve got a few other courses I got in the Genius Bloggers Bundle that I’m going through first. COmprehensive review and I LOVE how you got instant results.
I’m confident you’ll love the course once you get to it. SO much great info on Pinterest. Enjoy it!
that’s awesome that this course was able to get you instant results! those courses are always the best kind!
Right? It’s pretty exciting to watch your page views increase in realtime as you watch!
Pinterest has been the best and I look forward to implementing more strategies!
There are so many strategies to try. Maybe that’s why Pinterest always stays interesting. I love that this course gets updated with new strategies as the algorithm changes 🙂
Great post! Majority of my traffic is also from pinterest. Thanks for sharing the course link.
Thanks Nilakshi! Pinterest is such a great resource when you have a good grasp of how the algorithm works.
I definitely need to invest in a Pinterest course. My numbers have plateaued so I feel like omit could help me get ahead. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hey Laura! This course is VERY underpriced and the price will be going up. If it’s still out of your budget the pin templates / private coaching group are also incredibly valuable and cost less 🙂
I love this course! It helped me grow my blog traffic and develop a Pinterest strategy that works. I agree that you should go through it more than once and the updates she put out this year are gold!
Right? There are so many great tips that it should definitely be read through at least twice so nothing gets missed!
Karen, I’ll try this a second time… I too took Carly’s Pinterest Strategies course and you described it perfectly! She’s amazing right? I’ve never been a big fan of Tailwind versus manually pinning and if you’re consistent and follow Carly’s tips, it is very true you can up your Pinterest traffic easily. Best of the best!
Thanks for the comment, Beth! I’m so happy to hear you recommend Pinteresting Strategies too!
Great article! I’ll check on this one as I am trying to get my traffic from Pinterest.
Thanks April! Pinteresting Strategies is by far the best course I’ve taken. There’s a reason it’s so popular!
Excellent post. The biggest thing I got out of this was that I need to take my time. I’ve signed up for many blogging courses (which I’ve got to stop as you mentioned). Furthermore, I need to retake some of them and go through them at a slower rate. I’m usually a copious notetaker; however, I haven’t been doing that with my blogging studies.
A lesson to self: “Don’t skip over anything”
Thanks, Scott! I’m glad you got something helpful from the post 🙂 I find taking/reading a course a second time really helps the info to sink in. Often when learning something new I feel overwhelmed with the information. Going over it all again helps make things clear and less daunting.
I think am ready to start seriously implementing pinterest for my blog. Thank you for this post
You’re very welcome. In my experience, Pinterest marketing is very much worth the effort!
