Finding out how a Pinterest board was created
Have you ever wondered how to see when a Pinterest board was created? I personally haven’t ever felt the need to know this. But not only have I been asked, but I know people are actually searching Google for an answer to this somewhat random question.
So I was intrigued…

Can You See When a Pinterest Board Was Created?
I was recently doing some keyword research and discovered people are actively wondering how to see when a Pinterest board was created.
And well, I wanted to see if the same technique I use for finding a pin date would work for a board.
At first, I thought it did. But after trying it on some original boards AND some of my newest ones, I realized the dates were all the same.
Meaning, my theory and technique failed.

Still curious, I actually reached out to Pinterest for an answer.
This was their response:
“At this time, we don’t have this feature on Pinterest.
I really appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback. I’ve passed it along to my team, and we’ll be sure to keep it in mind as we continue to build out new features and improve the current ones.”
So, unfortunately, you cannot see when an actual board was created. BUT it’s possible that they’ll add that feature eventually.
And if you really want to see this become a feature, reach out to Pinterest using their Request a Feature page.
Now even though I didn’t find an answer to help those folks looking to find out how old their Pinterest boards are, I did inadvertently stumble onto the answer to some other queries.
How to find out when you joined Pinterest
Another question I discovered people are asking is “how old is my Pinterest account?”
Why would you want to know this? Well, maybe you’re wondering how long you’ve actively been doing Pinterest marketing for your business.
Or once you hit various milestones on the platform, you may want to know how long it took you to reach them.
Well, as I previously mentioned, when I was trying to find the board date I noticed all the dates I was finding were the same.
And that’s when I realized the “created” date I kept getting wasn’t when my board was created, it was when the account was created!
So to find out when you created your Pinterest account, you can follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1:
Open your account or any of your own boards and right-click somewhere below your description.
Scroll to and click “View Page Source“.
Step 2:
A new tab will open that’s full of code. If it doesn’t look like the image below, make sure you select “Line Wrap” in the upper left.
Step 3:
Next, type “Ctrl F”.
A small search bar will open at the top of your screen.
Step 4:
Type “created_at“, and press Enter.
Ta-Da!! The exact date and time you created your Pinterest account will be highlighted in orange!
In Conclusion
That’s it. How to find the exact day you set up your Pinterest account.
This tip could come in handy to some entrepreneurs curious to know how long they’ve been active in order to track their growth and progress on Pinterest.
And while I’m sorry I can’t help you find the date you created an actual board yet, I will definitely add any new updates I discover in the future.
